件名: really very helpful!!

Living in Katakuracho for the past two years has been a wonderful experience. It's very nice to live in quiet, clean and well placed neighborhood (just three stops from Yokohama) and the people are great. I've lived in an apartment owned by Mie for over two years now and it's been great. There are many foreigners who also live in her apartments and it's nice to be able to make friends and see familiar faces while sharing your experiences with each other.

That being said, there are of course many people native to Japan who live in the area and they have always been polite, kind and willing to help when I've needed it. There is a community center, grocery stores, a gym and much more in short walking or biking distance.

Lastly, if you do need help, it's always nice knowing that Mie is there for you. She's a patient and extremely kind woman who can you help you with more than just your apartment needs if you find yourself in a situation where you might need someone's help (taxes, community questions, hobby advice) and that's really very helpful. I hope this helps and thanks for reading.

件名: Ms. Mie's help had made my stay to Japan so much easier

In the summer of 2013, I was extremely lucky to secure an accommodation in Yokohama with the help of Ms. Mie.
My apartment is located at the district of Katakurachou (betweet Yokohama and Shinyokohama Station), and it is very convenient to commute from my apartment to the summer school (ICU) and other major areas in the region.

My apartment is furnished with basic utility, and it is adjacent to convenience stores, many local restaurants, grocery stores and a beautiful park in the local area (Kishine park). The neighborhood is quiet and very friendly.

Ms. Mie truly understands the concern and constrain of foreign students seeking housing in Japan. She replies messages promptly, never demands key money or gratitude money (reikin), and is very accommodating with regard to one's travel plan and budget. (She even sent her friend to pick me up at the bus station!). Ms. Mie's help had made my stay to Japan so much easier, and I highly recommend her to anyone that considers staying in Japan for research and summer school! Thank you Ms. Mie!

件名: Helpful apartment

It is difficult to find a suitable place to stay in Japan, with nearly all real estate agencies demanding large, non-refundable deposits and expensive forced co-signatories. It can take huge lengths of time to search and find a place to live without hamstringing yourself through debilitating initial financial outlay. Therefore it is a godsend to find someone who is as helpful and friendly as Mie, and it is because of her kindness that I was able to find a place to stay and start a life in Japan. I am always thankful for the support I received in ensuring that I could live in a pleasant environment in a friendly neighborhood, with all of the necessities for living covered. She was quick to resolve any issues and both helpful and friendly with any difficulties I had in establishing my life in Yokohama.
