Living in Katakuracho for the past two years has been a wonderful experience. It's very nice to live in quiet, clean and well placed neighborhood (just three stops from Yokohama) and the people are great. I've lived in an apartment owned by Mie for over two years now and it's been great. There are many foreigners who also live in her apartments and it's nice to be able to make friends and see familiar faces while sharing your experiences with each other.

That being said, there are of course many people native to Japan who live in the area and they have always been polite, kind and willing to help when I've needed it. There is a community center, grocery stores, a gym and much more in short walking or biking distance.

Lastly, if you do need help, it's always nice knowing that Mie is there for you. She's a patient and extremely kind woman who can you help you with more than just your apartment needs if you find yourself in a situation where you might need someone's help (taxes, community questions, hobby advice) and that's really very helpful.
